Slight pause in pickup from 1st to 2nd gear change

Just had my car fully serviced and it's running really well but when I pull away and take it to say 4.5k then change to second it picks up instantly but if I take it to 6k and change to second you can feel a flat spot or hesitation for a split second and then it pulls away.

Any ideas anyone. Car is running superbly but just this slight hesitation. When going to 6k in second the change to third and acceleration is instant with no lag so only happening in that first gear change.

Great thanks for the tip will have a read of that thread later on

Just been out again it's mainly In sport mode and after changing into 2nd at 6k my foot is flat down so eased of with the lead foot and it just picked up straight away. Seems it could be intermittent or I just need to get used to driving it as only my second big drive in it giving it some welly since I bought it a few weeks ago.

Did try it without sport with foot flat down after changing and it happened once then hasn't happened since!! All very strange
