Sleazyjet still sleazy.

 Mostly Holland. Sometimes UK.
Waiting to board the 7008 from AMS to LPL courtesy of Sleazyjet, the worlds orangest and sleaziest airline!
Been making this weekly trip for thepast few weeks now in order to liaise with some potential UK clients as well as attend to family matters and it really is an arduous chew of a trip!
Not least because of the hordes of hungover scousers all making there way back from summarily desecrating Amsterdam and all its' fineries.
Please, let it be a puked-on-free, aggression-free, smell-free one hour and ten minutes of temporary but self-inflicted incarceration.....

Its a loathsome pastime flying from entering to leaving the airport
My yearly holiday flight home yesterday was agony from the moment i sat on the plane for the "4hr" flight
1hr 20mins before we took off , 4hr flight / 1 hr circling Manchester due to fog then 20mins diverted dropped in Leeds Bradford  another 1 hr 15 mins before we actually got our bags & left the terminal
All the while surrounded by wheezing , coughing pensioners , sshrieking bawling babies & kids having nappies changed in the aisles :( grim does not even cover it & that was supposedly paying a bit more for a better carrier Jet2
If it was up to me id never fly again

Got 5,000 flying hours in the RAF, never had to step foot in an airport once, bliss!

Now I just get lost in them, absolutely hate them, no thanks to the Fundamentalist Terrorists Dog sh!te Scum.

When we fly,if possible we try and fly with Turkish Airlines.Decent legroom and all round pretty civilised.

I flew Easyjet out of AMS every week for 18 months. I learnt to appreciate their efficiency. Once you start to treat it like a bus and not expect frills it's fine.
Wait in the Aspire lounge, check e-mails, drink red wine. I hung back at the gate, got on the plane as one of the last. I only had a small backpack that fitted under the seat in front of me - no messing with overhead lockers etc. Sat down, belt on, noise cancelling headphones on, fall asleep. Wake up when landing in NCL ready to sprint to passport control before the whiners, skip baggage collection and on the Metro before the last of the drunks has got off the plane.

Did the Madrid run this week with Easyjet. Had not quite allowed for the Gatwick security process - that was 40 minutes of queuing fun to even get through. Biggest joke is though that when you fly back from Madrid (or most other European cities), that the security is almost non existing so it becomes a bit of a nonsense to have it like that in London when the return flight is virtually unchecked.

Touchdown! Walked out of the terminal building to be met by the obligatory wall of exhaled cigarette smoke from the assembled congress of scabby cab drivers as well as a turgid assortment of other such miscreants. Ahhh, home again! Looking so much forward to the flight back to Holland on Tuesday.....
I'm an awful snob aren't I?

Dunno quite liked my flight back from HK on Qatar in business the food and bed was awesome

Not at all - I'm with you all the way!

Air travel is generally miserable since 11 Sep 2001.

Mind you I did go to Melbourne via Singapore in 2010 in business class on a Singapore Airlines A380 and that was actually like being in a different world!

When I was coming back they put me on the flight at Melbourne so I got to Singapore, but couldn't get any further because there was some sort of smoke problem that closed Heathrow!

Result, best part of a week in Singapore on company expenses - there are worse places to be stranded!

Short haul is loathsome. All the security and controls and no real enjoyment. Commuted to Dublin for 15 months and got a bloody glass xmas tree decoration from the chairman...

Now it's about once every 2 weeks to one of Paris, Lisbon, Madrid and can live with it.

Have to go to Bordeaux next week on Sleazy jet who I hate only more than Ryanair, except as posted above they are efficient and always fly..

Yep the terrorists have won with all the extra security we now have to endure.
I remember years ago on a holiday flight to Tenerife with BA, they let people go up front to look in the cockpit and actually had a raffle by seat number to sit in the cockpit for landing!
