Skittish behaviour on MSS

Hi all,

In mid October I had some new Michelin Super Sports fitted to the front of my Zed to match the ones I got a year before on the back. I've probably done about 1000-1500 miles since. I've noticed that the Zed feels very unsettled - a complete opposite to when i had the rears fitted and the Zed felt so much more planted. On dry roads it doesn't take much acceleration for the traction control light to come on (much much less than before) and I've a few squeaky bum moments in circumstances where I don't particularly feel I was pushing it. So much so that when the roads are damp it feels like im driving like id walk on ice! I've checked the pressures and they were pretty much exactly where they should be. Any thoughts?

1500 miles is plenty to bed them in, and mine needed less than 100.

These are PSS, not PS2.

Mine are still fine in the cold mornings we're getting now, and were also fine in a cold & greasy Oulton Park last Friday.
 
I have Michelin PSS on all corners and the car is, especially after a hunter 4 wheel alignment, razor sharp.

All 4 wheels are checked against factory settings, any wheels that need alignment are then altered, toe, camber, castor. The works. This is much more than a simple tracking check.

All 4 of mine were out slightly, the front 2 worst of all. It cost a whopping £120 and took quite a while but I have to say, changed the way the car drove completely. The alignment along with the M PSS changed the car form an understeering mush into a razor sharp drive and I was really quite surprised at the difference as I'd no idea an alignment could make such a difference. £120 is a lot of money, but IMHO worth every penny as soon as I drove it.

Thanks very much Maniac. I've used your link and tracked down a couple of local places who do this. I think I'll be paying them a visit tomorrow. :thumbsup:
