I'm after a z4m coupe? How ever what are they like for space? I'm 6ft 3ish and I'm always worried that I'm going to be too tall, don't wanna go to a garage and waste their time and I don't know anyone local with one! So who's tall and owns a zed coupe?
 
they aint big inside mate . i took a pal out who,s a big guy (6,3 / 17 stone) & it felt cramped in the cabin.

i guess if coming from a MX5 or a polo the z may feel bigger ?
cosy & compact inside is how i,d describe it :)
 
Best bet is to find the nearest dealer one to you and sit in it! Or someone on here may take you for a test drive...location?
 
Try sitting in a roadster too :wink:

Think there's at least one coupe near you. Can't comment on the size I'm afraid as I am only 5 foot 7, but good luck... And welcome to the forum :thumbsup:
 
Think you will struggle. Im only 5ft 11 and its pretty tight. Let my mate have a look around and hes 6ft 4 and he really struggled, he has long legs tho, seat wouldn't go back far enough for him to be comfortable, knees were round his ears. Plus the seat has no stop when it comes to going backward so will press against the plastic wall and make the most painful plastic squeak noise. I have the seat as far as possible back without it squeaking.
 
I can only comment on the better of the Z4s. I'm 6'3" and fit into the roadster nicely. Unlike the S2000, the steering wheel has reach and rake. I can position the seat just before it makes the annoying squeak / creak noise that Tom rightly refers to. Plenty of headroom too. I've come to the Zed from a Jaguar XF and find I feel better stepping out of the Zed on long journeys than I did in the double-glazed luxury car.

No substitute for trying it at the local dealers though to make sure.
 
Another 6'3" 17st roadster owner here, no problems fitting in it, seat as far back and as low as it will go without touching the back plastic wall and can drive for 400 miles plus comfortably, can't speak for the after thought inferior coupe though :poke: , never been in one :lol:
 
As far as not touching the back plastic I'm afraid I'm well passed that point, completely touching at every part but no squeaks for me. Basically adjust the seat as follows.

Base All the way forward
Base All the way up
Base All the way back
Base All the way down
Tilt back as far as you dare
Tilt front up to suit

(and if you're really tall like me)

try going back just a little more

and

I would also add I found this much easier on standard electric seats and specifically didn't go for manual as I couldn't adjust them correctly (don't know which models come for leccy ones as standard) also I hear that the heated ones increase height slightly (but having never tried don't know if that's true or not) obviously all the above is for the 03 model roadster, I know there was a change in seat config with the 06 onwards so that may affect the coupe also. I spent ages looking into this as it was my only concern with getting a small sports car!
