HI Folks,

Had this in for less than a month but now no longer need a head unit with a USB outlet so have re-installed the OEM stereo. Fascia is in black, no marks whatsoever, no clips broken etc, whole kit is like new. Included is the ISO harness, the aerial adapter, Fascia and fitting brackets.

This was £25 new (which it still virtually is) so selling for £15+(£3 postage if necessary). If you want to collect, I'm in the PE7 area.

Hi, could you tell me where you got this from please.
Cheers Keith.

Hi Keith,
This is the one I got. Fits and works perfectly, obviously the only thing is that the fascia is black rather than grey, but this didn't bother me :)

Apologies for resurrecting an 'old' thread,

PboroRyan, is this all that's needed to hook up an after market head unit? Will that harness operate the steering wheel controls or is that an extra cable? I read on another thread that there was plenty of space behind the OEM head unit that these cables can be tucked into.

I rather like the idea of the aftermarket units that have a fold out sat nav screen.

Hi,
The link I shared above is all that is needed to install an aftermarket stereo. Whether this harness will allow for steering wheel control capability, I have no idea, as I don't have them. I doubt however it will be a simple plug and play job mating BMW steering wheel controls to an aftermarket stereo, I'm guessing there would be more to it than that. Regarding space behind the head unit, there is enough space, it's not cavernous and there are some bits to work the wires around behind the head unit but with a bit of fiddling everything fits nicely enough. Hope this helps!

PboroRyan - thanks, thought that might be the case. Did a similar change to a Suzuki with steering wheel controls and the Android head unit 'learns' the signal from the wheel. Press button on wheel and then select what you want on head unit e.g. volume up/ down.

Scooba_Steve. Thanks I'll have a google - guess I need to find a good Z4 locally that fits my wants list first......

The wheel signal should be over the k-bus on pin 9 at the stereo, if you wire that to a unit that learns then perhaps that's all you need. I only have experience with standard head units.
