Silver Lower front grilles

I am looking to swap the black lower front grilles on my 23i for the silver ones from the 35i (I think they go better with the DSBlue).

I've collected the parts from the dealer and they don't appear to be as silver as I though they would be, they're a kind of dark grey colour (but do have the word "Silver" stamped on the back in German)

Does anyone know if this is correct? Are the grilles on a 35i this colour or are they painted? I always thought they were an aluminium type finish a bit like the strake that runs across the grille?

The part numbers I ordered are 51117 203 847 / 51117 203 848

Any help much appreciated!

The part numbers you are quoting are the right ones for the 35i. I think what you're missing is the "finisher rod" detailed as item 5 on this page.

Ah, well mine looks exactly like that photo so they must be the right parts, just a dark grey colour.

I think its that some of the photos show them to be a bit more 'shiny' including the pics in the actual brochure. - they're shown as being the same colour/finish as the finishing rod and described as being "matt aluminium".

I've scraped enough bugs off them to know, yes they are a grey colour.
