Sill Removal

Has anyone got any advice on removing the sills, TIS 5171447 says you must not damage the catches that attach the sills to the wings. How easy does the sill detach from the two catches at the front and rear wings?

Really easy. They just pop out. They are a lot stronger than the front bumper to wing brackets so I wouldn’t worry. Just replaced mine with aero skirts. The only pain in the bum was working on the floor removing the underside retaining clips that you have to pull the middle dowel out of to remove them ( abit like wheel arch liner fixings

Thanks Doddsy familiar with plastic clips with middle dowels to they should be fine.

Yes, pulling the centre dowel out of the clips on the underside is the most fiddly bit.

There is also one bolt in the front wheelarch and a screw on the underside near the back.
