Side Repeater HELP NEEDED

Hi everyone, so I am on a quest to sort out the hiddeous Side repeaters on my E85 Z4. Unfortunately BMW decided to ruin and absolutely stunning profile of this car by sticking huge WARTS on the side and these need to go.

Now I am all aware that there is this lovely kit from AC Shnitzer that costs you a small fortune (£600+) just to tidy up BMW's original mess, which I am sure as hell not doing.

So I have found some very cheap side air intake grills on ebay and there are a few options, my general idea is to completely remove the side indicators, and use the gap to custom retro fit a nice air intake onto the side to allow more air to escape the engine bay while driving as kind of a air goes in, air goes out, fashion.

Can anyone else please look at these 3 items on ebay and tell me if anyone of these cheap things might do the job, or point me in the direction of other alternatives to sort out my side repeaters?

Sorry bradmarsh1989, but they all look bad.

But beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I doubt any will fit without significant bodywork mods and arse ache,

is is worth it?
 
I'm with dario I'm afraid - not sure I even like the ACS ones either, irrespective of price.

Speak to Bumpy, or the chap selling the lovely black ///M. They have both cut the repeaters in half then put the badges back on, taking the profile right back but retaining the circular orange glow when the indicator is on. Looks really good.

As for provide an air out-take from the engine - I am not sure that would work, as there is a double skin in that area I think, with the body panel attached to internal panels that form the sides of the engine bay. Have to confess I've not had a poke around, so I could be wrong.
 
That's fair enough guys. I knew these where cheap ass products that dont deserve to be on the zed. Just dont like the side repeaters... :/

Whoever comes up with a solution wing it my way.
 
Am I the only one to like the side indicators- much more interesting than the lets all follow Benz and put them in the mirrors .

None of the above for me including the ones from ACS - actually especially not the ones from ACS at least the others are cheap.
 
As above, if you're not happy with the OEM one then try reducing the depth first before doing anything drastic.

I quite like the side repeaters

You could always cut them down and change the badges?

im with the rest here, all of those look bad. The ACS are the only slight possibility (still not a fan of them) but they're not worth £600.

those pieces of turd you posted up are awful :lol:

best thing to do is to cut the side repeaters down, so they don't stick out as much.
