Side rearview mirrors fallin off

I am fit to be tied. This is the second time my side rear view mirror has fallen off my 2006 Z4. First the driver's side fell off, then the passenger's side fell off seven month later. This is definitely a dangerous defect. Has BMW stepped up to this quality problem? If not, has anyone heard of a class action suite against BMW for this defect?

Common problem due the mirrors being heated all the time. 3rd part mirrors aren't expensive.

Not worth the time or cost perusing it IMO

If it's just the glass bit, most of us have had that happen. £20 will buy you a new one (not BMW).

Common problem, particularly with a 7 year old car. The glue gets brittle and the glass just falls out, usually when shutting the door. Not worth getting into a lather about IMHO.

In fact in the UK you can get a pair of replacement glass for around £20 including postage from sellers on eBay.
