side lights / daytime running lights

Ok, for a while I've been thinking about changing the bulbs that light up the corona rings (daytime running lights and side lights). The bulb is an H8 connector and I know of a few people that have replaced them on E9* cars with GP Thunder 8500K's:

I'm worried that the 8500K will be too blue-ish and wonder if the 7500K's would look better? Also, are these going to be less bright during the day than the standard bulbs? (the bulbs are 35 watts) At the moment when the xenon's are on, the rings look a bit yellow in comparison, so I'm after something that will look more white.

Any thoughts welcome.

Here is something from PIAA WHITE RING in Japan. Looks a bit bluish/white but is really cool.
