Hi guys.
I'm currently weighing up wheel options to replace my 19" 230 style.
I've tried to love them, but it's not happening. The spark is not there.
I've had loads of comments from folk saying how nice they look, so I'm in the minority it seems.

I want to drop to 18" and aiming for MV2's or 203's to go back to the factory look.
I've been tempted by the 224's but not a huge fan of the sticky outy rears when they're on the 3.0si.
Or, possibly some CSL replicas. These have been done to death on the coupe but for good reason, they really do look nice.
I've read many comments that CSL replicas look naff in 18" ?
The Apex Arc 8's look fantastic, but out of budget.

Nah, I'm with you. They look a bit 'cartoon' IMHO!

You probably are in the minority!

I put a set of 295s on my previous E86 that look just like your 230s except they are 18s. I fitted them so I could sell my 108s while they still looked decent as refurbing them can get expensive.

My first E86 had MV2s but they were hard work to clean, and are fitted to Sport model E46 3 Series as well so aren't very special.

My MC had 19" CSL Reps fitted when I bought it, but CSL reps have been done to death on Z4s so I replaced them with 224s for some variety/originality!

But 18" CSL Reps don't look much different to 19s IMHO.

Have you looked at Veeman wheels? Some of theirs look great.

The problem with the 18 csl reps is they never look quite right. The rear concave isn’t anything like the 19’s

Yes, I've heard this before.
That is why I need to see some pics to get a visual.
