Should I remove te 3M stone guard?

when I bought the car, the previous owner had covered some key areas with stone chip protection. The trouble is, having done its job, it now looks a little ratty. Where the stones have hit it, it shows the indentations in white, almost as bad as having the chips in th paintwork it's intended to avoid.

So do I keep I on or take I off?
 
Take it off and replace it with new stuff ? Wish previous owners had done that on mine. Especially on the bottom and bottom sides of the front bumper and the back ends of the side skirts :(
 
So mine has I over the sills, mirrors and rear wheel arches, but not on the front bumper that's now booked in to be blown over. Go figure ??
 
I don't think it is common on the front... But my car has done 87k with not a respray to be seen on the front and sills, so I can see exactly where it would need to go :D

Bing just done the bottom of the bumper and the front half of the sills very hard to see on a black Z :cool:

I hit a quote for the 3m stuff... They refined 350 quid for the front bumper! I kind of laughed and said thanks :)
 
When i got my M front fitted i enquired about a 3M cover too... To do the front and mirrors i was quoted £350 too.

The cost of getting the front resprayed would be around the same... I dont plan on keeping my car for more then a couple more years... So wasnt worth it.... Even though with 30k miles mine has a few chips on the bonnet.

i just wasn't expecting that much... :D i would need a respray too so thought maybe worth doing at the same time while the bumper is off but not at that price its just too much.
 
Did the same as aquazi, was quoted over £300 for a 3M front end wrap, approximately the same cost as a respray. So didn't bother with it....
