Should I paint my wheels black

Hi all , my son has been telling me to get my wheels sprayed black. Firstly I am not sure . Secondly wouldn't know how to go about it.Thirdly can't seem to find any of my type wheels sprayed black. Was hoping to see some already done against the ALpine White. Have seen other types but not mine. I suppose I am asking for your professional opinions as I don't want to depreciate it or make it look like a boy racer

Shadow chrome 224m look very nice indeed, these were the standard fit alloy for the Z4M, I think there are samples of both these styles on forum member signatures, Darren Slone [Can7ona] I believe has black 224m's

If you like the idea of a colour change, give Lepsons a shout. They do a fantastic job of refurb and will do them pretty much any colour you want. Cost is about £70-£80 per wheel. This is more than the roadside guys, but their process is a full acid bath, bare metal rebuild. I am delighted with mine.
 
Shadow Chrome IMO. I'm a big fan of contrast, but black wheels on a white car - not convinced it'll look hot.

Shadow Chrome on the other hand will darken the appearance of the wheels without going too dark, and should create a nice contrast :thumbsup:

Thats right i did have sars :)

My 224's were matt black

but wantanM had them and now I have some CSL's

Think i might change to csl's ,they look good.Whats the best way to go about it?px my 224m's? Looked on ebay but not sure what size i need or if genuine.
 
Those are for an E90 and are not genuine CSL's, genuine CSL's are 8.5" X 19 fronts ET 44 and 9.5" X 19 ET 27 rear, mine were made by BBS, although i think they were also made by another company too?

If you put " how to identify genuine CSL's" in the search bar on the home page then you will find out what to look for to differentiate OEM from replica, good luck :thumbsup:
