Should I keep my Z? :(

So first things first, I love my Z! However, i'll be soon moving home and my commute will be 30 miles each way every working day. I can afford the fuel, extra servicing and whatnot but obviously would prefer if it was cheaper so I can save for a house! Also don't fancy putting 15000+ miles on it, as it's fairly low at 50k at the moment.

So the dilemma is whether to keep it or sell and get a dirty old diesel to munch down the miles! Could also use my 1.8 petrol focus sitting in my rents garden, freshly serviced with brand new Michelins!

Don't have the space to run two cars and don't want the expense of 2 insurance tax etc!

So keep the Z and put miles on it? http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=46362
Run my trusty focus by itself? http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=50976
Sell both and buy a dirty diesel mile muncher?

You'll never regret keeping the Z, you'll probably regret selling it! :)

Freshly serviced focus means it's ready for sale .. to fund keeping the Z!

The amount spent on fuel in the zed will probably keep your focus on the road for use as the daily hack. I'd demote the zed to a weekend motor

Aye all good comments! Would get about a grand for the focus if I sold it.

Don't really have the space for two cars where we'll be living and insurance is fairly expensive for me!

But I would miss the Z if I sold it Ahhhhh!

keep the zed... life is short and if you can afford it, don't worry about mileage and costs etc...

long time dead.

Have you had a look at the costs of running two cars?

I run a diesel Astra (1.7CDTI SRI) as my daily runner and a Z4M coupé as my weekender.

Actually works out cheaper for me to run both, rather than to run the M as a daily (and was the same when I looked at the costs of a Z4 3.0Si Sport).

Worth looking at the sums as you'll regret selling the Z for a house move. I had a Cooper S 4 years ago an sold when I started a new job due to extra miles etc, a hugely missed it until I got my Z.

If space is an issue then that's something you'd need to get around (keep the Z at your parents?)

Anyway, as I said worth looking at the numbers. I hope you make the right decision :driving:
