You are lucky being able to remove the whip! Tried all the suggestions I could find on the forum, I think someone super-glued it.

Mine was the same-I just doused it in WD 40 for a week, then it came off. :)

Mine is still stuck on- I've got the stubby and a brand new base (I may have chewed up the old one slightly with mole grips despite wrapping them in a cloth...) so I may give that a go the weekend. If you want to remove the whole thing is a possible to put a socket on the underside as it's just been spinning around?

Hi

Great looking Z .... but am I the only person who likes the original aerial ?? :poke:

sorry everyone but these (wait for it .. safety helmet on) :fuelfire: .. look abit Halfords ?

all the best (sorry Johny Essex)

Nick

I don't think it looks halfordy but I know what you mean. I like both the whippy and stubby. Might buy a stubby and see how it looks on my car.
I don't really listen to the radio or music in the car anymore since getting the Zed so it would be purely cosmetic. Love the exhaust note too much.

Yep I prefer the original whip also ! But I think us Whippy lovers are a minority ! :D I like my zed the way it left the factory -

Reception is still good. I thought the whip aerial slightly dated the car. But each to their own.
I'm hoping to apply one more coat of my favourite sealant, Werkstatt, this weekend, then that will be it for the winter.

Top down, big jumper on, heated seats on, big daft smile on my face, sorted

Has to be one of best mods for the money in my opinion, makes a big difference in the appearance.

I remember discussing that Andy
