Shark fin aerial

As anybody fitted or considered changing the aerial, i've changed mine to a stubby aerial, this looks much better but i think a shark fin would be even better, any thoughts would be helpfull

cheers

somebody on here did fit a shark fin, cant remember who but it was a silver roadster and didnt look right IMO.

IMO it ok but I prefer the short stubby. To the best of my knowledge the shark fin aerial is non functional...

To each his own, but I've received countless positive comments when seen in person. Would never go back after this change. Used WLH's idea of running an aerial wire along the seal of the trunk (boot) lid. Also installed a coiled wire inside the fin, reception is 10 times better than a stubby!

As you can note from the picture, did not use a fin type aerial since our fender is angled outwards, so it would not sit vertically. IMO this one matches quite well with the shape of the Alpina deck spoiler.

i was thinking of taking a 5 or 6 series shark fin aerial from a breakers yard, i'm suprised people think it would not look good, i'll have to have a re think

just had a good look at a shark fin aerial on a 5 series, on reflection i think it would not look right, its much bigger than i thought, so you guys who said its not right, i take my hat off to you, cheers

way too big and as I wrote earlier, since our fender is angled outwards, we need to use a model that isn't really a fin. I've tried 5-6 different types before settling on the one pictured (2008 US spec Honda Accord with sat option)

i easily get confused, the pic on here of the shark fin, is that yours?

is the connection easy enough to get to?
