It's back for the time being

Sounds ominous

Not really, just having a few intermittent problems with the new server and trying to figure out if it is hardware related or now... just took it down to upgrade the BIOS just now. Problem is there's been no errors each time it's gone down to give me a clue as to what caused it.

Worst case I'll swap to another new server, but that's a lot of work

Pull the power, count to 10, plug it in again - that'll sort it :poke:

LOL, pretty much did that the last 2 times... trying to be a little more thorough in my investigation this time :)

We call the server Scotland

If that were the case I'd bung it on ebay and be thrilled if the bidding got to 99p! (but that's for another thread ;) )

after which you will probably find that the new hardware platform, BIOS version, op sys version, and application version are all incompatible with the current forum!

Just bung some more RAM in the old server - sorted.
