Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone could give their thoughts on current pricing for Z4 Coupes as looking to put mine onto market.

-Its a 2006 BMW Z4 Coupe SI Sport in Stratus Grey (on a 56' plate).
-63,000 miles
-Full BMW Service History with MOT until August 2016
-It has the M-Sport pack (apologies I dont know the full details) but wheels, suspension, steering wheel etc etc.
-Rear Parking Sensors, 6 Disc Multi changer, Electric windows, Air conditioning, Black Leather trim etc etc.
-I am the 4th owner of the car, bought in Aug 2015 and had full RAC inspection carried out which can also provide.

Its in good condition- few stone chips etc but apart from that all good- new addition to the family forcing sale!

I was hoping to get circa £9k for it- do you think thats about right? Put on for £9.5k and get £9k.

Would welcome thoughts.

Many thanks!

Hi beatson pm me your reg and I'll do a valuation for you. Doesnt sound like you are far off a realistic number though

Right here we go .. been a while since I've done one of these so please bare with me!

Here are the VIN specs, my conversion to the original OTR price and my depreciation calculator (not considering mileage, condition, service history, etc). [Click the image below for a larger version to read the detail]

This is a very late registered 2006 car with low spec and low miles for the age. The VIN sheet states its Silver Grey rather than Stratus Grey and that there is no 6 CD changer so im not sure if this was added to the vehicle later?

The cap valuation on this car comes in at £7,125 - £7,625 Trade In Clean. Wisebuyers says £7,188 for private good based on age and mileage alone. (£8,738 for dealer)

My own calculator comes up as £6,783 for this car at 8.75 years of age before mileage.

The car was first registered in Dec 06 (56 plate) so I need to adjust the valuation accordingly. At 8 years, 9 months old it should have done an average of 87.5k miles. This car is way under that, which at £50 per 1k less means adding £1,225. Taking it to £8,008.

However these values are still low. So ...

Looking around at the market, I see these cars as its closest competitors : http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201510027452394 which is almost identical in spec, age and miles.

As such I would say that £9,500 is around the true value of a private sale for the car you are looking at, provided its got a full years MOT and no faults.

I hope this helps

where do you get £50 per 1k.

I only ask as when I did a price on mine over the weekend the price difference was only £25 per 1K

From research Ive done online I found this was the general consensus - however the data may now be old and it may only be £25 per 1k... Happy to be corrected
