I have been contemplating reducing to one car so Z4 might need to go....in process i have noticed over recent weeks a number of cars being sold on behalf of Mum, despite car being hard top 325i / sporty Audi etc. Also advertised as "cheapest on AT / ebay".
Another scam ?? Would i ever meet mum, would doting son have same surname as owner on V5? Thoughts welcome...

Cheapest on A/T ebay is a common term used by dealers that are in the habit of buying then selling cheap with the focus on fast turn around

well, id imagine there are a lot of older people who suddenly find they aren't going out much any more, or couples for whom one car is fine rather than two. furthermore, those older people probably don't want to have any visitors round to view a car, so ask their less vulnerable, possibly more knowledgeable about cars children to handle the sale for them.

so no, you probably wouldn't ever meet mum. but i would check that the address on the V5C is the same place as where you're looking at the car, and if not, a proof of address like what the banks ask for would be good.
