Sell me your exhaust or tell me where you bought it!

I'm looking for a hayward and scott or similar.

Anyone got one they'd like to sell me?

I've been looking through Yell and Google for a stockist but with surprisingly little luck. Can anyone else send me a URL of a good place to buy?

I've been wondering about the ESS exhaust for the Z4 (just to jump on this thread a little!). I see it on their website but not much in the way of sound clips, etc.

I don't find sound clips that useful as it never sounds the same in real life.

I always prefer to find someone with it fitted and get a few miles of them driving it around to warm it up, and then listen to drive-by and static sounds.

I'm veering toward Supersprint based on You Tube videos

Only prices I can find so far are around £600 per back box and £400 for X pipe = total £1600 (!) with a 5 week lead time.

Has anyone in the UK bought one of these and if so where?

There are loads of exhaust threads on here but I can't find any discussion from UK members where they bought their exhaust and I keep hitting brick walls :headbang:

Any recommendations?

Have a look at Eisenmann too. Please! Would love to hear one on an M. Try A-L Tuning. There is a 3-4 week lead time though - hand built to order.

Have you tried as mmm-five suggested and contacted H&S direct? For something like this I often start by speaking to the manufacturer.

I'd persist with H&S... the north half of Wales can tell you how good they sound

I know Sixspeed has H&S, and am pretty sure Flatout and Andy (changed his signature :x ) do too. May be worth dropping them a line?

Yep love my H&S. Bought mine from another member who was sending back his lease so didn't pay a lot and it was mint.

iirc £600 should get you one.. I love mine for the performance difference mainly, let alone the noise.

(Changed my sig coz it was getting a little silly  )

Good point and I agree, but I'm struggling to find anyone with an ESS exhaust on a Z4 in the UK let alone locally. I'm not convinced on any exhaust yet, but I feel my Z4 just needs a bit more noise and I've not heard anything so far that matches what I want.

I think Dreamer has an ESS :?
(think it's on his sig)

It so hard to tell the true noise without being sat in the car. Thanks to Bigcoose I have a better idea of the Blueflame system so think I will be going for that. Would ideally like to compare it to the ESS if anyone has some high quality videos or links.

Another brand to consider is Arqray http://www.arqray.jp/englishweb/

I have contacted them and the standard z4 box is around £485 + delivery. I have only heard youtube clips, but it sounds great in my opinion!

I'm sure dreamer won't mind, but I searched and found a clip of his ESS backbox: http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y234/ballymagic/?action=view&current=essexhaust.flv - sounds superb IMO :)

I found it from this thread here: http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6997&p=106536#p106536

Sixspeed - Birmingham, otherwise I would pop over to hear yours if possible!

Have you dyno'd yours before and after the H&S?

Does anyone have a performance exhaust for the Z4M (preferrably a backbox with X pipe system) that they'd like to sell me?

Its a good idea to sell this separately if you're considering selling the car (of course) as performance exhausts tend not to add onto resale value.

Anything considered!

I REALLY want a stromung exhaust or a remus exhaust.

I'm struggling to locate a Stromung exhaust in the UK, so might have to get it from america

"Z4 M-Roadster/Coupe Stromung Exhaust - $850
System is a direct bolt-on dual muffler exhaust. Quad 76mm tips. "

I basically want something that is a bit deeper, doesn't look different to stock and has lots of pops and bangs on the reverb/rev down. I think that's the closest without having something really loud
