Selection of lambda errors

Hi all.
New to the forum and new to Zeds. I picked up a 2005 recently that was in need of a but of love and care. It’s had a few faults fixed, oils changed, full service etc and is now looking nice, running nice and fault light free!

However, Carly is reporting the following faults. As I say, no warning lights, but the faults reappear after only a short drive.
I should say that the car has an aftermarket exhaust on it, but I don’t know if this would be the possible cause of the readings?
Fault codes:

Fault code: 0029A1 - Lambda probe on the catalyst bank 2: signal

Fault code: 00289C - Lambda probe heating after catalyst bank 1: function / DFES DTCM.DFC NWVpenpl C - VAnoS inlet: lock position

Fault code: 00289D - Lambda probe heating after catalyst bank 2: function / DFES DTCM.DFC PVDemax C - boost pressure sensor, electric

Fault code: 00271C - CDKLSH - lambda probe rear kat / Lambda probe on the catalyst bank 1: signal / DFES DTCM.DFC DKVBDemax C - fuel supply system / CDKLSH - lambda probe downstream kat (BANK1) / VAnoS control intake bank 2 / Switch off the engine overheating in the engine compartment

Googling hasn’t really helped me with these codes. Does anyone know anything about them and may be able to help? Or know if I even need to worry about them ?

If you have diagnostics capable ofr viewing live data take a look at the pre cat sensors bank 1 and bank 2, if they are working you should see a distinct wave form as their voltage ranges up and down with the engine running, the vehicle should be up to temp whenlooking at this data. If you have no wave form or it is not regular in pattern then the sensor is probably duff and needs replacement. As to the post cat sensors this when viewed in live data will not range in voltage like the pre cat ones, they will look as though they are static and only react when they see something wrong in the burnt exhaust fumes that have passed through the cat. The faults in relation to the heater circuits in the sensors would indicate the heater circuit has burnt out and not performing so would delay the heating of the sensor to nits optimal operating temp. Non working heater circuits would require replacement of the offending sensor.
The codes you quote don't mean much to me despite searching the web, have gone on the fault descriptions to advise what to do with further diagnostics.
I would add that it appears theat because of the lambda faults the Vanos system is locked out, don't know much about that part of things, no doubt someone who who has more knowlege will be along on that one.

Yes, I have Carly, so I should be able to monitor the sensors with live data.
I will do that tomorrow and report back.
Any mention of Vanos makes me nervous.
