Went to start my car this morning and it wouldn't budge an inch.

Looks like the front drivers caliper is seized

Any options other than calling the AA out.
 
Is it definatly the front ?

The handbrake shoes can stick sometimes, they unstick with a thump.
 
Yeah I gave it some revs and the rears started to spin a little but the front drivers side wouldn't budge.
 
Ooosh..

Only option is to get wheel off and lightly rap the caliper.. It may just free off..but it's not a fix, but may get you out of a corner..

It could be just the slides, but more probably the piston.
 
Silly question did you wash the car yesterday as I've had it where the pads have stuck to the discs if it's not been used straight after a clean, and that took some budging to get them to release off the discs just an idea

Yeah ^ that was my firsy idea but if DPG's spinning the wheels trying to get it to move, that's possibly a bit of a different Q. Hope you get it sorted quickly though chap.

Sorry to hear of the brake issue. I am of no use to you mechanically, but if you need a hand with anything just give me a shout and I will come over.

Cheers guys, lesson learned. Don't use the handbrake when it's parked in the garage. :oops:

It's was the OSR wheel that was stuck not the front. I had washed the car last weekend but went out of a few hours blast after so I'd have thought that would have been enough

AA bloke had to winch the car out of the garage to get the wheel off but a couple of whacks with his hammer freed it all.

Just been out for another blast and it feels good again :thumbsup:
