My 2004 3.0 doesn't seem to have that bit. The mounting plate is on the strut tower, but it looks like it's never been used, or had the Seconday Air System fitted there.

Am I missing something? Or do some 3.0's not have these?

Hmmm

Not on UK cars.
gannet's right that sometime back the bracket was discussed. Can't recall which markets or climates have them fitted

Ah good good. I had a search around but couldn't seem to find the right terms to find much about it.

If I get some time this week I will start a UK buyers guide/FAQ wiki type thing we can all add to...

Should be fun.

Cheers

The flux capacitor is missing, without it you can't time travel. :D

We have them in the states. They are designed to reduce emissions.

Incidentally, I've had to replace mine twice.

The Secondary Air Pump runs for 90secs upon start up then quits. It is designed to inject air (O2) into the exhaust manifold to allow the unburnt hydrocarbons in the exhaust of a cold engine to burn off and heat up the catalyst faster so it can start doing it's job much earlier..
