Secondary air pump

Hello,
On my 2003 e85 my secondary air pump has started running non stop even when I turn the car off. The only way to get it to stop is to disconnect the battery. Any advice on locating the source of the fault would be appreciated!

Can't you just disconnect the power lead at the air pump, that should stop it from running, it only should run for a short time at cold start to feed extra air into the exhaust to lessen the emmisions. You can do away with it all together if you are UK based maybe not if USA based, different emmission regs. If doing away with it you will need to blank off the inlet to the exhaust with a blanking plate.

mine is very noisey... sounds like a jet engine... lol!
