Had the second z4 trackday at Cadwell Park. The weather was sort of everything in one day. Rain in the morning, a bit snow near lunch break, heavy wind but sunny in the afternoon. Really enjoy every minute in the Z4. At the end of the day, cruised back home in the Z4 comfortably. Such an amazing car. :driving: :driving:

Some great pictures there.

So how did you find the handling under the various conditions?

From my experience, this current gen zed is by far the best handling one.

Agree on this.

In the wet, the traction was better than I originally expected. However, I used sport individual mode and configure the engine in comfort and other items in sport mode to slow down the throttle response. Engine in sport or sport plus can easily kick the tail out in wet. Have to say that my throttle control is not good enough.

Then, compared to Donington, Cadwell is quite hilly and I really enjoyed the compression going uphill at 100+mph. However, the fast gradient change at 100mph somehow make the car feel a bit floaty, which I didn't enjoy. Mainly due to I don't want to unsettle the car and lead to lost control to the car. However, all road cars I've driven on track so far are like this and G29 is actually behaving the best. If I don't care about crashing a £50k+ car, I'm happy with how the car behave and have the confidence to keep pushing the car.

One thing I found lack in performance on track is the seat. With the amount of grip available from the car, I start to find the seat lack in lateral support in the corners. However, this is not a track only car and the seat is so comfortable otherwise (I find it more comfortable than the standard sport seat in my G31), so I'm still happy with it.

Interesting you say that about the seat. You can adjust the side supports tighter to hold you in place more. It’s one of the buttons! ;)

I certainly know that. But compared to the amount of grip the car has, it’s still not enough.
