Second question: "revolutions per mile"

Changing the subject a bit. Are you on 19's currently and going to Snows?? I would be interested in your opinion of the ride harshness on 19's. I have been on 19s that were not acceptable.
The snows may not benefit from staggering. Snows can be sized narrower for better bite in snow.

It came on 17s. Rare in the NA market, but it is what it is. I bought Yokohama Ice Guards for the winter so I am using the OEM wheels. The new summer tires, (probably Michelin Pss, but maybe Conti DW), will be 19s, so I am getting new wheels as well. Tire Rack does a great job of installing TPMS sensors and balancing with the Hunter Road Force machine - well worth the $200, IMO. Local tire shop will mount all four for $12.

I would add that the wider width is an advantage IMO for where I live. Our average individual snowfall is 8", and with the ability to snow 3" per hour in the mountains, I want to 'float' on top of the packed snow, not always push it aside - often with my lower grill!!
