Seats out to clean carpet

I feel like this is the only way to do a full deep clean.

Seats out, vacuum, rug doctor

This was after I picked up all the coins, sweets and other things dropped over the years.

Pre vacuum and carpet clean. I forgot to take a pic afterwards

Good job- surprised it was the after photo you forgot to take, normally it’s the before as your keen to get stuck in!

Is it just 4 bolts and a connector unplug?

Yup, 4 bolts and block connector under the seat

I’ll give it a go this winter

Super-satisfying getting a wet-vac on the carpets! The amount of gunge that comes out of seemingly clean carpets is unreal :|

Just make sure to disconnect battery before removing the seats, to avoid any airbag issues…

Good point on the airbag..I’ll do it when I’m doing my rear subs / DSP amp upgrade …so no power

Good call about the battery. I've never bothered, but it's a sensible thing to do

Only from experience, I didn’t when I swapped my first set of m-sports and light came up. To be fair, there were a myriad of other issues with the seats!

Just swapped my steering wheel over and was so careful, disconnected battery for 10 minutes before swapping, but still got the dreaded airbag light on the dash now…

I'm planning to do something similar this winter , but will restore the seats whilst they are out. Did you hire a wet n dry vacuum and if so, can any type be used?
