Seatbelt Latch Failed - Serviceable?

The driver-side seatbelt latch has failed. I cannot secure the seatbelt in the latch, it just won't stay. It looks like the internal latch mechanism is buggered. The whole unit seams to be sealed, and before I take things apart and/or order new parts I thought I'd check in here. Anyone disassemble one?

Also, if I end up replacing it I'm unsure of the part# to order. Mine is US Driver-side (left), but I'm not certain how my need matches up with the parts catalog description. Do I need a "lower belt with left belt tensioner" or ""lower belt with right belt tensioner"?

Never tried and would not even consider touching such a critical latch. Buy a new or spare from a breakers. Could be expensive with pretensioner too.

Put your chassis into realoem.com and it will allow you to specify LHD and that leads you direct to the correct part number for your zed.

Thanks for the reply.

No argument there. It's critical, but operation is simple enough I'd like to have something while I order the correct parts. Right now - no seatbelt at all.

I have the part numbers, but the description is still throwing me off. A LHD has the tensioner on the left, latch on the right ("lower belt with left belt tensioner" sounds right, but I'm not certain).
 
Real oem usually indicates which part is correct by having ' na' against other parts.

Btw don't take tensioner off to drive while you tinker with the belt on the bench or you'll trigger an airbag warning.
Most likely just the internal match spring broke or stuck.

Thanks for the heads-up. I found a site with good pics of each side. Will confirm and get it ordered.
