Seat Swap Query

I'm just about to swap my seats from electric adjustment non-heated to electric adjustment heated seats, both lots are the standard (non sports) seats. I'm also got the required central switch panel. The car is a 3.0i '04 car.

I understood that it will be just plug and play but reading the ''How To's" - notably by left298204, there is reference to fitting an occupancy by-pass.

Or is the assumption of plug and play correct

Thanks
Norman

Also depends when in 04 for car was manufactured, my car was registered in October but manufactured in the August and mine has the full loom. I did a manual to electric heated swop no problem, it was just plug and play

My car was built June '04

Should hook up without problems in my opinion because both are pre facelifts. So they should use the same sensor for detecting if there is a passenger. So i see no problem in that.

@olson what does that have to do with the compability of the seats ?

The seats might be compatible, but if the wiring isn't there as part of the loom to support heated seats they wont work, quite simple really
