Have already done a search but not come up with anything.

Anyone know how to take the seats apart? my old interior has heated seats, the new ones I am putting in dont have the heating element so I need to transfer the heating element out of one seat to the other.

anyone have a link to a guide or know how to do this? I dont even know where to start with it! :-/

Pawnsacrifice did a element transfer, do a search for him and you should find the how to link in his signature.

I've done it before when switching from heated standard and retrofitting in non heated ///M seats. (note different pads)

I'm sure I posted a thread but travelling shortly so no time to search for it.

In essence take the seat out, remove the base trims, remove the squab, undo clips and peel cover off. detach back of seat from base and remove clips and peel off cover.

Easy to do if you just take time and carefully note which torx came out of where and in what order.

Remember not to turn on ignition at any point the seat looms are disconnected, else you activate the airbag warning

Thanks guys. appreciated.

CJ10 that actually doesnt sound too complex. I have already done the entire interior swap so getting the elements out of the old seats shouldnt be to difficult and I can take my time with putting them into the new seats as and when.

When I did the swap I didnt switch the ignition on with the loom disconnected but I still appear to have an airbag light on. Im guessing this is a simple job to go to a specialist and pay them to re-set it?
