Seat belt section creaks

Not the most major thing in the world, but I am plagued by a creaky squeak on the top part of the seat where the seat belt threads through - the little plastic top section seems to move about and when I brake and the belt tenses it makes a creaking noise - right in my ear!! My neighbour has the same car as me (3.0 56 plate coupe) and I drove hers and it does exactly the same. Any suggestions to cure it? I've tried silicone spray and that reduced the squeak but not the creaks!

I've also got a rattle on the right hand side to the rear that comes and goes - I can't work out if it is the bulkhead, side panel or boot panel. Any ideas as to what can come loose or rattle? I'll get the dealer to take a look if need be but I like to try and detect rattles myself first!

Thanks all. :D

for me its the leather seat bottom rubbing against the plastic surround of the side seat adjustment buttons.

I guess I've learned to live with it unfortunately. Either turn the music up or put the top down for those of you who have a 'vert.

yeah try moving the seat. my passenger seat creaks against the plastic depending on its position, whether someone is in it and how heavy that person is.

I've had my coupe now 3 days and I get a very slight rubbing from behind the drivers seat. I think its due to having the seat as far back as poss.

I can live with the above just fine but I've also found that the seatbelt cuts in to my neck as it sits high on my. Anyone else found this?

Anyway the cars fab so all of the above I'm willing to put up with :driving:

hi,both my wife and me find the seatbelts cut into our necks too,its a real pain in the a**,we are both 6 feet tall so i dont know if it affects taller people or not
wife wanted one of those padded seatbelt things ya slip on but there was no way i was cheapening the zed with something a boyracer puts on his souped up 1.1 fiesta(no offence to any fiesta drivers intended)
and hi chaz,im in west lothian......

Hi Bri

I thought being taller would have helped but I'm just over 6.2. I guess we will just have to get on with it or get those pads like your wife sugested, but I'm with you in thinking that its not a good look for the Z4.
