Seat belt position

I have a 2022 M40i with Magma Red seats and I cannot find a good position for the seatbelt - It constantly rubs against my neck. Is anyone else having this issue or found a fix for it - so far I love everything about the car but this literal pain in the neck. BTW I'm 6' tall.

I experienced similar issues with the seat belt. After looking online, I bought a pair of seat belt adjusters.

There are plenty of videos online if you search, but they work for me.

Thanks, I’ll have to check it out. My only concern with that option is what happens in an accident - will the shoulder lock then break the clip causing more forward momentum… I wonder if a seatbelt extender might have the same result of moving the angle of the shoulder strap and be safer… Might need to try both to figure out which option will balance safety and comfort.

I have experienced the same issue but not found a solution so far. I did adjust the seat IIRC tilting the back a little more and on a day out recently, can’t remember being bothered by the belt.

I’ve found this an issue too, I’m 6’2. I mostly wear polo shirts and tuck the belt under my collar so doesn’t really bother me.

The OH on the other hand has “been experiencing burn/rub marks” on her neck when out on forum runs.

As a short term measure she pops the retaining clip on the seat and uses the belt outwith the guide. That seems to alter the angle of the belt enough to relieve the issue except in certain situations

I’m searching for some nicer seat belt pads that don’t look sh!te or tacky. I’m not finding this search particularly fruitful. I don’t mind paying for quality, just not had a huge amount of time to research yet.

Not had any issues, but I find it odd that there isn’t a height adjustment for the belt.

Strange I would have thought a taller person would not have this issue? I am short 5 4" and have this issue after 4-5 hours of driving. Last time my left shoulder (live in America) was in so much pain you would have thought I broke my collar Bone. I picked up a cheap over the belt pad but have yet to test it on a long drive. So I maybe also looking for a solution if this doesn't work.

The way that belt sits is a complete disaster. No support on the shoulder. I'd go with a belt pad personally... but you know. Just been googling to see what there is in terms of BS marking or anything. Not surprisingly, very little to go upon.

It works for me and that is all that matters, but I guess it won't be to everyones taste or body build. I've tried various belt adjusters over the years as I had similar issues with the seat belts in my E89, but found that these worked best for me.
