Seat belt not going into holster ?!?

Problem in my Z4M. Seat belt isn't going into the drivers seat holster. This has meant I've had to use the passenger side one AND get the f***ing beeping every few minutes :headbang:

Looking into the slot on the passenger side one, I can see a small black piece inside, but looking into the drivers side one I can't see this (maybe its come out) and can only see a thinner metal piece blocking the seatbelt plug from going in. Presumably the black bit pushes the metal out of the way and with it missing this isn't working.

Loathe to take it into BMW and be charged a fortune for this.

Anyone had similar problem and/or know the part no I may be missing and need?

I had the same issue with my M Roadster, this fix I posted at another site worked for me:

Take a small flathead screwdriver, like one from those miniture sets. Look down into the area where the buckle goes. Now press down on the red release button........ you should now be able to see the square piece of metal that goes into the square cutout on the buckle. At the edge of that square piece of metal, on the side opposite of the red release button, is a small half moon cutout .............. stick the small screwdriver in there and push the square towards the red release button................ it should pop back out of the way so you can start inserting the buckle again.......... this worked for me on the drivers side a few weeks ago.
