looking at a sDrive23i Roadster 2.5i, anything i should look for.... is this a 6 or 7 speed box, should i hang back and look for a 2.0 or even 3.0..... finances are not that particular great so am looking around 18 including mine to trade any comments wellcome

I've been out in mine all morning and love it
The sound is amazing,
For me the 6 cylinder engine was a must ,
I would recommend the M Sport , well worth the extra funds
Good luck

Depends what you want, a pretty sounding engine or one more efficient. Don't overlook the 4 cyl twin scroll turbo, comparable performance and more torquey than the 6cyl lumps and more economical so a winners choice.

When I test drove the 2.3, it felt slightly flat compared to the 4cyl turbo, so personally I would go for the 3.0.

Tim.

Msport is a must with the right wheels, 2.8 or 3.0 engine, try and find one in the very rare alpine white. :D

anyone know what the next service is after 31k.... bit of an opended question i know just seen a one with 31 on and was wondering

What extras do you get with the M Sport package, out of interest?

My car isn't an "M Sport", but the original owner spent £9,785 on options including the Pure White Design Package (Sport seats and fine wood trim) and 296 alloys. I'm just wondering what stuff I'm missing out on.

Is the suspension and the body kit the only difference?

Turbo cars always feel a bit faster at times its the nature of turbo engines but the straight six is just smoother and has a much better sound track so you pay your money and take your choice personly very happy with my 2.5msport and I had a 123dmsport twin turbo coupe before this the Z4 is no faster it just brings a smile to my face every time I drive it and is a much nicer drive in my opinion. :)

The M Sport gives you better seats and cosmetic changes to the front and rear bumpers, oh and the thick steering wheel, on your budget you are looking at 2.3 M Sport or 3.0 standard, so the decision maybe down to performance, so test both engines. Good luck

Brake fluid every two years
Engine oil at least every two years or condition based
Then keep checking the information screen!

It's a straight forward 2 year or 20000 mile interval,whichever comes first

Deka, I have had my SDrive 2.3 for about a month now and just love it. The six pot engine is just great, even sounds good on tick over but when you floor it going through a tunnel - oh my!

I havent driven a MSport but a road test I read said that the stiffer suspension does nothing for handling and ruins the ride.

I think of mine as having a split personality. Drive it steady and it's a lady, floor it and it's a vixen! Had mine sideways for the first time at the weekend - fun!

Mine is a 59 plate AUC car with 20k on the clock and I paid 17.4k (semi auto box, sports seats, enhanced BT) so your target price looks about right.

Have fun
