Hi all,
Drove my 23i 2009 78k miles 350 miles yesterday, pure joy.
I stopped a service station,took a 20 min break.
Returned to the car, slotted in the key and a really loud screeching sound was emanating from behind the dashboard, centrally located.
I turned the ventilation on and off, no change
I closed the Idrive display to shut it down, nothing
Changed vent flap positions nothing.
Removed the key, silence
Replaced the key - fixed!!!!!!!
Has not reoccured, any ideas??
