Scratches

Hi Guys

I was washing my car this morning and noticed a series of hairline scratches/cracks on the front bumper, around 4 inches by 4 inches in area. It looks like the car possibly had a respray and the lacquer may have cracked as it is all concentrated on one side. I've also been getting a few chips from stones as one would expect with a car like a Z4. I have a couple of questions which I'd welcome some advice on, firstly, is it safe getting a respray on just part of the front bumper or will it show up like a sore thumb (any idea on cost would be useful too?), and secondly, is armour-fending the front bumper a worthwhile investment to protect against future stone chips etc?

Pete,
Just pull the bumper off and have it fully resprayed. It'll cost no more than half spraying and be a perfect matched job.

Armor guard is good stuff, but frankly I never use it as I can see the transition lines and just resprayed the bumper ever 3 years or so.
