Scratches?

Hi All

Frustratingly I returned to my car last night to find that someone had reversed into a parking space next to me and misjudged it, scratching my car in the process (fortunately it was a work car park so I caught the bugger on CCTV!) The scratches are fairly superficial and the bodywork itself is perfectly in fact. The marks are to the lower left offside bumper and there are probably around 6 or 7 of them. Would someone be able to advise me where I am best to go to get the problem sorted? Even though the woman (no surprises there!) has agreed to pay I don't really want to approach BMW as they will be hefty and it looks like a relatively minor job. A couple of people have mentioned Chips away or a service by Halfords but I would be keen to get a wider view from the Z4 community?

Would need to see a picture, but chips away or similar should be fine. I would stay away from Halfords though.

Find somebody in your area with a good reputation, might cost a bit more but worth it for peace of mind.

chips away have been good for me - but it is a franchise operation, so the expertise does vary from area to area. fortunately my local bloke is very good.

How do they operate - time based? Area / size?

Cant say the same for chips away-they 'burnt' the paint on my e46

could have been unlucky andy, i have known loads of people use chips away and the car comes back immaculate

Chips away or any body shop might be able to use a DA polisher or such to get them out
