scratches on glass

should help

Do not use abrasive household cream cleaners. Whitening toothpaste is a good alternative to polishing compound.

If possible, lay the glass on a flat surface during the polishing process to provide additional support.

If your fingernail can be inserted in the scratch, it is probably too deep to be buffed out.

Use gentle pressure to avoid breaking the glass. It is also important that you do not use a polishing compound that is overly abrasive or you could end up damaging the glass further.

Cerium Oxide
Where can i get this from?Is it abrasive?

I bought it from eBay, costs next to nothing.

A product containing this: http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=237434&highlight=cerium+oxide

Just recieved some of this through the post. Anyone given it a crack yet? I dont have a polisher of any kind so will be attempting it by hand with the kit provided. Thinking it could take some time as i pretty much need to do the whole windscreen. Lots of small arcs scratched the full travel of the windscreen wipers. Previous owner obviously needed to change his wiper blades a lot earlier than he/she did. Dont show too much during the day, but a nightmare at night when somones headlights hit them.

I've just received the same stuff. I bought a pad for my DA though I now realise I need the damn attachment too so I'll have to order that (the pic on the website showed the pad and attachment).. I've the same issue of the wipers having scratched the glass. I'll try it by hand before I splash on the DA attachment.
