Scratch and Dent Repair - Doh!

Great results!-did they fill the dent or push it out?

They actually pulled it out. It's a double skinned panel (bonnet inner and outer) so access from inside would have required a hole to be cut (checked - no extra holes), and the company said they wouldn't use filler on this car. I have a feeling they stick something to the panel, pull, then dress it. Perhaps a little like this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vI8hOmRCC9c Looks painful, but you get to keep most (all?) of your paint. I should think insurance companies love it!

I'd seen Ed China do it on a steel paneled car with welding rods but didn't really pay enough attention. Guess who'll look a lot closer next time?

Just shows the value of shopping around - so much money saved but just as important, a much better service and result . . . . doesn't it make you sick

Nice one and thanks for sharing - now I wonder how far they are from Newcastle. . . . .

:driving:

good vid that. Never seen it done before. Clever using the reflection of the marker lines. Still a very skilled job though. Bit eye watering to watch- the tapping bit. I'd definitely have to go indoors and have a beer whilst they did that :-)
