I see 'Nicola' has released a discussion document on ways forward out of the current lockdown..

https://www.gov.scot/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-framework-decision-making/

Politically IMHO it makes the English/UK goverment look even more patronising in its approach..

However, it is effectively content free and suggests merely that a plan needs to be baked and gives no time / space dimensions to the 'plan'

Given what it says are the prerequesites for any plan it produces it implies that any chances of motoring around Scotland in groups and drinking in pubs/eating meals in restaurants/stay in hotels is some way off..

I stated previously that I didn't see 10 Z4 members in a pub together before the end of September..

Any other opinions?

Delusional more like.....

Can’t see It happening until well well into next year. The thing ain’t going anywhere and until a vaccine is available it’s batten down the hatches or it’ll flare up again like the Aussie bush fires.

I think miz Sturgeon is playing with fire tbh, stoke the public into thinking there’s light at the end of the tunnel when there isn’t and you’re gonna get very burned.

To be honest as time goes on I think the Gov't will have less say on any lockdown and your average Joe in the street will say enough and do as they please, already been alot chat on my local radio of alot more cars on the road and towns getting busier. I do think there will be 2 camps, those who will be too frightened to venture out and will stick to any future restrictions and gradual release of lockdown and those as the summer progresses will want to be out and about regardless of any restrictions or limitations whatever they may be. I can't see how you can expect the population to sit at home until there is a vaccine and I'm sure they won't.

Pity we didn't follow Gemany's plan.

The Government cannot afford the keep the current restrictions going for much longer, there will have to be some degree of allowing people back to work and more freedom of movement, they have said all along this is about extending the period of people becoming infected and not stopping it in its tracks, this is all about the health service coping and not being swamped by too many becoming infected at the same time. there can be little doubt that things will never be as they were before and social distancing and queuing will probably become the norm, certainly for the forcible future, a little like airports after the 911 attack. I think anyone in the high risk group should continue taking extra precautions for the foreseeable future, even when current restrictions are lifted.

Well, today they must have said the lockdown is lifted, the amount of vehicles out and about was amazing. People walking close to each other and I must have seen 15 + rag tops with the roofs down.
So did I miss something :scratchhead:

Im keeping my head down - I will continue to keep my social distance as long as I can or until I can get a jab!
People have to wise up to the fact this virus kills at random.

If it flares up again after a relaxation, its all to do again along with another huge loss of life.

I quite like idea that was batted about today in easing lockdown county by county or so many counties at a time, unsure how long that would take though.

The thing I notice certainly in our region is how stubborn the tail of this current wave is...the peak came and went but we’ve bumping along with 5-10 fresh cases per day, which doesn’t sound a lot but we don’t have much population here.. :headbang:

Given how serious the lock down has been generally taken around here I’m intrigued to know where these cases are... :tumbleweed:

I think it shows it won’t take much for the ‘pesky little critter’ to flare up again..
