Scirocco 200bhp TSI DSG , anyone had one ?

Got my sights set on a 09/10 VW Scirocco as above for mrs w
Bought her a 120d a few weeks back & can't fault it other than zero kerb appeal woefully dull to look at
Its rapid though (170bhp ) , frugal (drives like fuel is rationed ) & surprisingly well built & comfortable ( best BMW sport seats ive sat in ) but has no other desirable factors in its locker so looks like itl be going soon
I'm a massive VAG fan (yeah i know all the FWD bollox ) had Golfs/Passat/Touareg before & like the way VWs feel & drive
Just wondered if anyone had been there before & had any pointers ?
Looking at 50/60k cars private sales £8k/£9k for the DSG ones seems the ballpark numbers , pretty rare cars so residuals should stay high ?

You can't go wrong with the VW though, no matter which shell they put on the same car. Golf or Scirocco, all the same.

My friend has one and he loves it. And they do have the kerb appeal. His is the lime green one so does stand out
