As this forum is the fountain of all knowledge, wondering if anyone has come across these before.....

Theyre getting me rather excited, wondering if anyone's seen them fitted to a Z4 before and if so, any pics?

Danke.

Bit too different for me. If your going to go different then why not go REALLY different. (er did i say different enough then :D )

Nice.

Think I may go for it, although they are replicas they look great and the black brings out the roof on the car.

Can 255/35/18s be fitted to 8.5 width rims?

Anyone know whats the width of the rear 108s is?

A couple of pics of those wheels on a Z4 from the Gallery here: http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=7694

Prob not reps though.

Thanks for the post Breaker but I dont think they are the ones.

TBH, they are a really nice wheel with the right rubber, just not sure I'm "bling" enough to pull them off! :)

Confused, dont know whether to keep the car and get new wheels or bin it off for a TTS or a Boxster. The later are obvioulsy the more painful due to the value of my car. We'll see.

I've always had a soft spot for AC's - they can look really good. Replicas need some careful investigation as to how well they are made, extra weight Vs the real thing, etc. From a back street small unit/garage in Barnsley??

If you change car the value of the TTS and Boxster will have droppped too so not such a big hit besides frictional costs associated with a change.

ACs look nice but way too bling for my liking. To me at least the Z4 is not that type of car.

If I was going to change my wheels, I'd go for the M6 ones, I think they'd look gr8 on a black zed.

This is good thinking, I think now is one of the best times to change your car upwards if that's what you intend on doing in the next 6-9 months or so. The dealers are currently stuck with a load of cars that they paid too much for and now need to get off the books, and coupled with a virtual shutdown in demand for cars it has hit them hard.

It doesn't take the dealers long though to realign the values of cars, which has been happening over the last few months with trade prices being offered at substantially less than rock bottom, and at auctions the dealers are buying sports cars at such low prices they can definitely shift them on and make a profit, or they aren't bothering with them at all.

So you'll find that once the current stock is gone the dealers will have the upper hand again, and they will be back selling cars for more than they paid for them.

TTS coupe - some good deals around 8)

The ones you looked at are actually AC Schnitzer - Type IV Racing 2 Piece wheels and NOT Type V. There is one Zed (Red) on the board here that has them that I can recall... I looked at them before I bought my wheels last year.

Go here for all the types they have. http://www.ac-schnitzer.de/en/bmw-cars/wheel-selector/

If you go for the real thing, they will set you back $2500 a set....

I have the AC Schnitzer - Type III Racing 2 Piece Wheels (reps)... I love them... They are very unique and rare on the road... I had lots of questions from owners at HC08 this year.... I was the only one there with them on..

One thing I was looking at closely, was wheel weight. Mine weigh 22lbs each.

DannyBoy,

Just saw this on zpost... it's their Z4 of the month. Thought you'd enjoy the round, silver things that seem designed to hold tires.

Cheers.

I have the Type IV reps in silver. They have proven to be quite sturdy, as I hit a HUGE chuckhole with very sharp edges, which blew the sidewall out of my left rear tire. I thought sure I would find both left side rims bent, cracked, or broken in half after the jolt they took, but there was not even a ding on them.
