Completed the 2000 km drive home from Norway, through Denmark - Germany - Holland - Belgium - France - England then then home to scotland, ........ was a helluva adventure in the Zed, apart from the 19 hours I spent bobbing around on the Ferry to Denmark in a gale ....... arrived home saturday morning at 9 am.
Well who cares I hear you ask .... well indeed ..... but I had to tell someone about the dilemma I was facing, sometime in the next couple of hour I had to errrrrrr inform herself that I had a 9 am meeting in Norway on the monday and in the couple of hours I was in the house I was planning on changing to my brand shiny new Front Discs and finding out just what amp (or not) is hiding in the boot ....... (Im planning on an expensive stereo upograde) .....
Well it didn't go well I have to tell you ........ no not the me telling her bit, the new big f**k off shiny discs ......... They look well smart and are defo the full dogs, street cred mark 10 and all that ...... but jeez they weigh like half a tonne each. Whats the point of light weight alloys on eachcorner when there's kilo's and kilo's of unsprung weight hidden inside each one .....?????? and .................. (it gets worse) the standard BMW Z4M front caliper is a single acting piston, floating caliper type ..... which is pretty much what was fitted standard to Morris Marina's ....... I was expecting something well ........ a bit more flash.
Anyway like I say, got the discs on and they look well good, but now I've got no option but to start saving for an AP set up.
Never did get round to checking the amp in the back out, that will have to wait till next week .
So its 02:30 am monday morning, its minus 2 degrees and snowing and Im on the road to aberdeen for an early flight .... herself had just said something that sounded awfy like "feck off" when I kissed her good bye .... and Im thinking, that was a pretty shite Saturday.
