SatNav version

You'd need to eject the map disc from the nav computer for the data version.

To check the firmware version, go into the settings menu and look at the top right corner and you'll see a number along the lines of SW 4-1/xx

The last two digits signify the firmware version and ideally will say 00 indicating v32

Let us know how you get on, last time I looked a new map disk was £130 :o

There tends to be a couple of map releases a year. 2012-1 2012-2 2013-1 etc etc.

Perspective mode is the 3D birdseye style view. While on the map screen, press the right button, select map positioning and if you have perspective enabled you'll see it. If it's not there do the following (and save a few quid paying the dealer to do it) Note:- you have to have the right f/w level (better than 26) to get this to work:

Press Menu
Press Set
Press and hold the menu button for about 8-10 seconds until the service menu appears
Scroll down until you see perspective and select it, then enable it

Press menu to go back to the main screen
Select Navigation and go back to the map screen. Perspective should now appear on the map positioning list as above

Sometimes dealers will do a trade in, or discount on stock when a new version is due out. Worked for me last year :)
