ive got the orinigal sat nav thingy in my car and have been reading about to upgrade it to the newer one.
seems pretty easy to do the firmware and then use a newer dvd, will this then iclude all of the features or will i have to replace the whole dash unit?
so then i was thinking i would want to get my phone connection better too so what do people recomend for connecting an iphone to the car?
it works fine through the screen/bluetooth at the mo but the interface is a bit crap, it doesnt retrieve recent calls you cant see texts although there seemed to be an option for it on the screen and i most certainly cant control the ipod. i dont care about siri as i think its a load of pap anyway. can you get a little cradel thing it clips in by the dvd player
i dont even know if its possible to do most of the phone stuff. so really i would like some direction on whats available/what people think is worth it/whats easy to install or should i get someone else to do it. there are other questions but you get my drift.
what i really dont want to do is cock anything up by messing these cars seem a bit more complicated than first meets the eye and i like the way it is at the mo but would like it to be uptodate and work to charge/play the ipod
