Satnav screen start up... Splash picture.

I have two questions which I have been thinking about for a while now, and am rather curious;

1) Who waits for the the screen to 'pop up' before actually starting the car (Turning the key from position 2 onto 3)..... I do.

2) How often do you see the 'BMW' splash logo when turning on the ignition?


It crossed my mind the other morning that rarely the image appears when I turn my ignition on, It normally goes straight to the main menu screen.

Nothing serious, just curious more than anything else.

I only see it if I've removed the disc and put it back in again

As above, it doesn't show everytime. It is possible to change the picture also via firmware update.
