Any thought on how I can get that blue clip off, space is non existent and I cannot get the clip to move

I use a pick with a 90° bend that presses down on the blue part allowing me to move the black slider

Where on the blue plug? I tried everything pushing and pilling that black slider.

Previously I have taken the centre console out so didn’t notice a problem but being so tight I don’t know what to push and pull.

Tried from the cable side to push the black connector but no joy

On the picture you posted the black clip rotates clockwise from the vertical to the horizontal

To allow it to move you need to depress the blue ridges to the right of the black armature. You can see the part that depresses they have ridges on them

Ah, ok. Once I can move again will try that :D

Thanks for that pointer, when you have the computer in your hand you don’t even think about it

Can't believe you didn't know that :poke:

I have only taken the whole thing out before and when it is in your hand it just clips in and out without issue. With no visual and no space, that suddenly becomes a massive issue

Would you like the scrape your hands and try? :poke:

Been there. I'll be interested in seeing the final outcome. Is this the one with separate controller?

No separate controller, that has been superseded now and is using the standard controls. It is the Carphonics one, I started a how to for it.

90% of the installation took less then 2 hours, just that plug removal ….
