No, not that you mucky minded lot :)

There's nothing like as satisfying as fixing your car yourself and taking three figures of labour plus parts out of the hands of the dealer.

Nothing to do with IMmie, the S-Max bonnet wouldn't latch down and had become a pain in the arse, so today I stripped out the bonnet catch mechanism, found a spring had popped off its mount and refitted and reinstalled. I bet the dealer would have stung me for 2 hours plus a new locking mechanism.

All the engineering training coming back to me after a long time dormant :D

Yes it does or I'd have been far less smug and probably bemoaning my stupidity for taking my DD to bits instead of entrusting it to a dealer :D

Not difficult jobs if you're replacing the calliper but if you don't have the tools it often works out better using an indie. My limitation is a mix of space and time.
