After my two earlier E85s I have recently bought a 2012 E89 28i, which is brilliant. However, I am seriously dissatisfied with the sat nav display, and I can't find any helpful forum posts on this subject. Does anyone else have this problem? True, my eyesight is certainly not what it was, but the grey lettering on a grey background makes it impossible for me to see any of the readouts without stopping the car to find my reading glasses! My wife's standard Nissan sat nav is vastly superior! I simply can't find any way of enhancing the screen brightness or changing the resolution. I would be grateful if anyone could suggest remedies I may have missed.
 
You can make the range/area seen in the screen...

This enlargens the lettering too...

I can't say I have a problem at all... I never even realised the letters wher grey.. I shall look later
 
Sounds like you've got the traffic overlay selected on. If you go to options & de-select display traffic, you'll get contrasting coloured maps
 
A good combo is to have the standard colour 3d map on the main screen and have the birdseye with the traffic overlay on the right. works for me!
