Sat Nav problem

Hi
Have just bought a 2004 Z4 but the sat nav thinks I am in the middle of the English channel (Am not on the ferry yet!)
The previous owner advised that there is a new unconnected antenna in the interior light and I should plug it into the rear of the DVD unit?
Have now found a coiled up wire which seems connected to a wire running back down the pillar and the other end to a metal plate behind the light?
Have removed the carpet in the boot & looks as if I can get to the back of the DVD unit.
What is the original antenna set up please and what do I need to do to get it working correctly?

Thanks for the link which proved very useful as I have now fixed it !!!
I unplugged the new Antenna in the light fitting and plugged it straight into the back of the DVD unit via the small access hole in the rear bulkhead behind the carpet. Bit of a fiddle to get the connector off as you can't really see it ( I ended up using a mirror) and used the magnet in the lumpy bit to attach it to the bulkhead.
Obviously it was the cable running from the top of the screen to the DVDs unit which was at fault.
Position now showing me correctly in truro and not the middle of the channel.
Hopefully this might also help anyone else with the same problem
